Browns Canyon is Colorado’s most recently designated National Monument, and for good reason; it is truly beautiful! Experience this national treasure from the banks of the Arkansas River as you navigate through class III+ rapids with some of Colorado’s most experienced whitewater rafting guides.
This wet & wild adventure is perfect for first-timers and seasoned rafters alike and is a very popular trip for families. Bring kids as young as 7 years old for a Breckenridge rafting trip they will never forget.
Your adventure begins beneath the Collegiate Peaks and takes you through Browns Canyon National Monument where you’ll encounter exciting rapids such as Pinball, Zoom Flume, Big Drop, Staircase, and Devil’s Punchbowl, before blasting through the infamous Seidel’s Suckhole.
Colorado’s most popular full-day rafting trip on the Arkansas River in Buena Vista, Colorado. This trip is four hours on the river and includes a delicious riverside lunch. Meet in Buena Vista at 9:15 am for this amazing whitewater adventure.
It is hard to choose from all of the Breckenridge rafting trips, but if you have young kids, this is the trip for you. The Upper Bear Creek Half Day features mild rapids and has a minimum age of 4 years old. The mild nature of this trip allows you to soak in the stunning scenery around you like the Collegiate Peaks!
This trip meets at two convenient times (9:15 am and 1:45 pm) and departs from our Buena Vista office. The office is about an hour and fifteen minutes drive from Breckenridge.
Located just 15 minutes from Breckenridge, the Blue River is the perfect moderate-level, class II-III Breckenridge rafting adventure. While paddling the Blue River you will find a balance of serene alpine scenery surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and fast-paced whitewater.
This is an excellent option for families with kids that are 7 years old and older. Please call to confirm availability for the early – mid-season trip.
Tips & tricks for booking Breckenridge Rafting Trips
- Talk to your group to get a feel for everyone’s abilities and comfort levels. We have a trip for every level and want to make sure each and every guest walks away happy.

- We’ll provide a wet suit, splash jacket & booties if you desire some extra warmth. Wear quick-drying clothing (swimsuit/shorts), protective footwear like water shoes (with straps!), or sneakers you don’t mind getting wet. Stay away from cotton!
- Bring a hat, sunglasses with straps, sunblock, a water bottle, and extra cash to tip your whitewater guide!
