If you know, you know: the Upper Colorado has quietly been one of the best-kept secrets in Colorado rafting. Water releases just came in, conditions are excellent, and right now the Upper C (as the locals call it) is running about as good as it gets for rafting anywhere in the state of Colorado.
Our new outpost is based right in Kremmling, at 1605 US-40 — which means the Upper C isn't just for locals anymore. Wherever you're staying, it's a short, easy drive:
Whether you're already up in Summit County or coming over from Vail, Steamboat, or Winter Park, the Upper C is an easy add-on to your mountain trip — no long haul required.
With recent water releases bringing flows to above 1000 CFS, the Upper Colorado River is running at its sweet spot — enough push for a great ride, still approachable for first-timers. This stretch of river consistently stacks up as some of the best water in Colorado, and the recent releases have it running better than almost anywhere else in the state.
Between the rapids and the scenery, this is the kind of trip that reminds you why you live here (if you’re a Colorado resident) — or at least why you planned your vacation around it if you’re not! Add in sunny days, temps in the 80s, and some of the best wildlife viewing on the river (eagles, blue herons, and the occasional bear sighting), and you've got a perfect Colorado summer day.
We're offering two half-day rafting trips that depart daily from our outpost in Kremmling, CO at 9:30 am and 1:30 pm.

This isn't a white-knuckle trip — it's the kind of float that lets everyone relax, laugh, and soak in the scenery together.
Here's the great news: historically, the Upper C can run well into summer and through Labor Day, conditions permitting. But a season like this doesn't come around often — this is very much a "get it while you can" window, and we're here for it.
