Save 15% off whitewater rafting on Colorado Public Lands Day, May 18, with Performance Tours Rafting.
The third Saturday in May is recognized as Colorado Public Lands Day. It is a day to celebrate how our public lands are central to our economy and most importantly, our quality of life. As Coloradans, we recognize that our rivers, mountains, and forests are essential to our quality of life and we are passionate about connecting our guests with nature through whitewater rafting. The best way to celebrate Colorado Public Lands Day? Get out there and explore Colorado Public Lands!
To start, one of our favorite public lands is Browns Canyon National Monument. In fact, it is located just minutes from the Performance Tours in Buena Vista. Browns Canyon is 21,586 acres of public lands in Chaffee County, designated as a National Monument on February 19, 2015. Because of the stunning landscapes, towering canyon walls, abundant recreation, and ample wildlife, this area is the perfect place to plan a summer adventure. In addition, there are several hiking trails, but the best way to explore Browns Canyon is by whitewater rafting on the Arkansas River.
Performance Tours Rafting offers several half-day raft trips as well as a full-day option in Browns Canyon National Monument. Half day trips depart at 10am, 1pm and 2:30pm and are $65 for children (7 yrs+) / $71 for adults. Another option is our Full day trips. These trips depart at 10 am, include a riverside lunch, and are $98 for children/ $108 for adults.
